In the 21st century, those individuals and organizations responsible for the development of America’s most valuable resource, our youth, have been unable to agree on a singular purpose for education. A generation of learners is clearly looking for a more linear connection between what they are learning in the classroom and the complicated world that awaits them.
Is the role of the US Education System to prepare students for academics, for work, or to be GOOD citizens? We will explore the topic during an immersive experience during SXSW EDU* 2020 week at a The Mexic-Arte Museum. The evening will provide educators visiting Austin from around the country the space to connect and learn from leaders in the youth development space featuring performances by Danny Wright and special guests.
